New loudspeaker product versions plus approval upgrade
E2S Warning Signals comprehensive range of speakers have now been extended with new variants and upgraded UL and ULC approvals, providing audible warning solutions for all classifications of hazardous, industrial and marine applications.
- For explosion proof and flameproof Class I Division 1 and Zone 1 applications the D1xL1F, D1xL2F and D1xL2H speakers are now approved to UL1480 and to CAN/ULC-541 for fire alarm use. The D1xL series employ marine grade aluminium enclosures, 316 stainless steel mounting hardware and multiple conduit/cable entries supplied with plugs.
- For hazardous locations classified as Class I/II Division 2 the new D2xL1F, D2xL2F and D2xL2H now provide a globally approved speaker solution, approved to UL, cUL, ULC, IECEx and ATEX standards for fire and general signalling. The D2xL series provides system designers with the highest sound pressure level available in Div 2/Zone 2 applications – a maximum of 129dB(A) @ 1 m (120dB(A) at 10’).
- For industrial and commercial applications requiring a robust solution for voice evacuation the M range of ML15F, ML25F and ML25H ordinary location speakers now also feature UL1480 and UL1480A approval.
All product variants feature 15W and 25W options and are now available with a new dual primary 25/70V line transformer option. All transformer models feature multiple tappings and now provide duplicated input and output terminals. A DC line monitoring capacitor is supplied as standard on low impedance and transformer variants.
The D1xL, D2xL and ML speakers all provide industry leading low Q factors, wide directivity indexes and frequency ranges of 400Hz to 8Khz. Polar plots and EASE files are available for download. See the product web pages for all the details on coding, performance and features.
