E2S Warning Signals is showcasing its new STEx premium stainless steel flameproof warning device family for use in aggressive onshore and offshore environments on Stand 5250, Hall 5 at ONS, held from 29 August – 01 September in Stavanger, Norway. E2S, the world’s leading manufacturer of audible and visual warning devices, has developed the STEx family specifically for use in environments where corrosion is a particular issue. The family is launched with ATEX and IEC IECEx approvals; testing to other relevant global standards is currently under way.

The STEx family consists of 117 and 123 dB(A) alarm horn sounders with either flared or omni-directional radial horns, 15 and 25 Watt PA loudspeakers, 21, 15 and 10 Joule Xenon strobe beacons, rotating halogen beacons, LED beacons and combined units. Also immediately available are stainless steel junction boxes. All sounder and strobe enclosure bodies are manufactured from 316L stainless steel with ancillary components such as dome guards, mounting brackets and stopping plugs in 316, giving enhanced corrosion resistance over other widely used materials such as 304. Beacons and junction boxes have four M20 entries; sounders and combined units have three M20 entries. ½” and ¾” NPT and M25 adaptors are available.

The E2S stand will be manned by personnel from Marin Supply, E2S’s long established Norwegian distribution partner, who will be supported by international sales manager Darren Mann and central Europe sales manager Joachim Ebert from E2S.

NFPA member E2S Warning Signals, the world’s leading independent manufacturer of audible and visual warning signals, is exhibiting at the NFPA Show from the 13th to the 15th of June in Las Vegas. On Booth 1059, E2S will be showcasing selected products from its extensive globally certified product portfolio.

The D1x family of Class I & II Division 1 signals from E2S offer high performance audio-visual warning in the most hazardous of environments. The D1xS alarm horns are UL and cUL marked, suitable for use as public mode fire alarm and also approved for Zone 1 and Zone 20 applications. With sound output levels up to 116dB(A) the horns contain 64 different alarm tone patterns and four remotely selectable stages/channels enabling multiple notifications from a single device. The D1xC combined alarm horns and Xenon beacons are similarly approved for fire alarm use – the horn as public mode and the Xenon light as private mode. Employing enclosures manufactured from marine grade LM6 aluminium the audible alarms can be configured with a traditional flare horn or an omnidirectional radial horn. The Xenon beacon component is available in either 5 or 10 Joule variants.

The D2x family of compact alarm horns and combination horns with Xenon lights offer system designers one device, globally certified: NEC/CEC CI D2 and CII D2; NEC CI Zone 2 and Zone 22; CEC Zone 2 & 22 and CII D2, ATEX, IECEx Zone 2 & 22. Now also UL & cUL certified for fire alarm use – the horn as public mode and the Xenon light as private mode. The D2x signals contain the advanced technology featured in the Class I Div 1 D1x family but in an ultra-compact 11 x 6” footprint.

For industrial fire protection system designers, the new ML15 and ML25 speakers are UL & cUL approved for fire alarm & emergency and professional & commercial use in the US and Canada. Available in 15W and 25W versions the 70V line speakers use lightweight, high impact ABS, Type 4/4X enclosures and stainless steel accessories to provide a robust solution for harsh environments systems.

The booth will be managed by directors Brett Isard and John Rattlidge.

E2S Warning Signals will be exhibiting at Global Petroleum Show, 7th to 9th of June, Calgary, Canada.  The leading manufacturer of audible and visual warning devices will be at the ‘Upper Big Four’ pavilion to launch two new major product families plus the new GRP Xenon beacons for hazardous areas.

The new ‘D1x’ family of alarm horns, PA loudspeakers and combined alarm horn/Xenon strobe beacon units has been designed to provide the most effective warning signals available for use in Class I/II Division 1, Zone 1 and Zone 20 environments. With robust marine grade LM6 aluminium enclosures, the UL/cULs approved alarms employ the latest electronic technology and acoustic engineering. The four stage, 64 tone alarm horns and combined units are available with directional flare or 360° sound dispersion radial horns.

Also on show will be a preview of the new premium ‘STEx’ family of 316L stainless steel explosion proof devices to IECEx and ATEX approval standards. The ‘STEx’ signals provide high performance audible and visual outputs with an optimal combination of strength and corrosion resistance for use in the harshest of environments.

The new ‘GNEx’ GRP Xenon strobe beacons, www.e2s.com/products/range/gnex, add visual signalling to the explosion proof and corrosion resistant GNEx family of alarm horn sounders, PA loudspeakers and manual call points for activation of fire alarms, gas detection and emergency shutdown systems. Suitable for all Zone 1, 2, 21 & 22 hazardous location applications the ‘GNEx’ beacons have extended temperature range with IECEx and ATEX approvals. For applications with high levels of ambient light the GNExB2 beacon is available in 10, 15 and 21 Joule variants producing up to 902cd - a very high output Xenon strobe. The GNExB1, a more compact size version, is a 5 Joule Xenon strobe beacon in a lightweight enclosure. Complementing the family is the GNExJ2 Ex d junction box, which, having multiple cable entries and terminal configurations is suitable for many different applications. All ‘GNEx’ beacons can be supplied as plate mounted assemblies configured with and without an alarm horn sounder or junction box.

Ken Martin, President of Brodwell Industrial Sales, E2S’s West Canada distributor and Marcel Minns, Technical Sales Manager from the E2S Houston office, will be at the booth to welcome visitors.

E2S Warning Signals, the leading independent warning signals manufacturer, has announced the addition of visual signals to the explosion proof and corrosion resistant GNEx family, www.e2s.com/products/range/gnex.

Suitable for all Zone 1, 2, 21 & 22 hazardous location signalling applications the GNEx beacons have extended temperature range with IECEx and ATEX Ex d approvals. For high ambient light or long distance signaling the GNExB2 beacon is available in 10, 15 and 21 Joule variants producing up to 902cd - a very high output Xenon strobe. The smaller sized GNExB1 is available for where a 5 Joule (up to 117cd) unit meets requirements. Three flash patterns and second stage, set by users, are a standard feature with all GNEx beacons, depending on base model and power (DC or AC) supply.

On-site removal and replacement of the lens filter, such as for colour changes, is simple. Polycarbonate, UV stable lenses are available in Amber, Blue, Clear, Green, Magenta, Red and Yellow as separate spare parts. Installation time is minimized by design with the GRP enclosure having a threaded flame path, multiple cable entries and a large termination area.

Complementing the GNEx range is the GNExJ2 Ex d junction box, which, having multiple cable entries and terminal configurations is suitable for a large variety of applications.

Both 15 and 21 Joule versions can be supplied as a plate mounted assembly configured with up to four Xenon strobe beacons with a junction box or five beacons without a junction box.

The new Xenon strobe beacon visual signals broaden the GNEx family which includes alarm horn sounders, PA loudspeakers and manual call points for activation of fire alarms, gas detection and emergency shutdown systems.
