New intrinsically safe versions of GNExCP7 and STExCP8 call points


The E2S Warning Signals GNExCP7 and STExCP8 range of manual call points and push buttons are now available as intrinsically safe devices. Certified by UL for Class I Div 1 Group ABCD and Class I Zone 0 AEx ia IIC applications to NEC and CEC codes and Ex ia IIC to IECEx and ATEX standards. DNV approval for use in exposed locations to IEC60945 assures suitability for the harshest of marine environments. Both ranges are also SIL2 compliant to IEC61508.

The new intrinsically safe ‘I’ product version of the GNExCP7 range features a robust GRP (glass reinforced polyester) enclosure, whilst the STExCP8 range employs a 316L stainless steel enclosure.

The GNExCP7-BG-I and STExCP8-BG-I break glass variants for fire alarm initiation or suppression release the are supplied with safety glass and optional stainless steel lift flap.
The GNExCP7-PT-I and STExCP8-PT-I provide a a locking push button mechanism that requires a tool reset, ideal for process shutdown.
The GNExCP7-PM-I and STExCP8-PM-I are configured to provide a momentary switch for applications such as alarm acknowledge.
The GNExCP7-PB-I and STExCP8-PB-I product variants feature a robust button that must be rotated before it can be pushed; essential when preventing accidental activation, for example of CO2 release.
All variants are available with DIN rail terminals or, if EOL and series resistors are required, the innovative PCBA termination board. The PCBA termination provides separate connections for EOL and/or series devices or the optional LED indicator, enabling the field installation of line monitoring devices without the need to remove system cabling.
