E2S Warning Signals, the global leader in high performance audible and visual signalling devices for hazardous areas, has announced the addition of DNV, MED, and MER approvals to a selection of its hazardous area loudspeakers. This expansion strengthens the company’s offering for marine, offshore, and shipboard safety systems where certified, robust, and acoustically efficient equipment is essential.

Engineering grade approvals for demanding marine environments
The newly approved models – D1xL1F, D1xL2F, D1xL2H, D2xL1F, D2xL2F, D2xL2H, E2xL15F, and E2xL25F – are part of E2S’s established portfolio of flameproof/explosion proof and increased safety loudspeakers designed for hazardous gas and dust atmospheres.

DNV certification:
DNV approval confirms that these loudspeakers meet stringent requirements for mechanical integrity, environmental resilience, and long term reliability. The certification process evaluates ingress protection, corrosion resistance, and compliance with marine vibration and EMC standards – critical for installations on vessels, FPSOs, and offshore platforms.

MED (Marine Equipment Directive) wheel mark:
