New D2x range Div 2 and Zone 2 alarm horns and speakers
E2S Warning Signals, the world’s leading independent manufacturer of high-performance audible and visual signals, announces the launch of its new D2x series of alarm horn sounders and loudspeakers. The D2xL series is designed for hazardous locations and harsh environments, offering a robust and reliable solution for life safety applications.
The new D2x products include five models: the D2xS2F and D2xS2H alarm horn sounders, and the D2xL1F, D2xL2F and D2xL2H loudspeakers.
- The D2xS2 alarm horn sounders are approved to UL464 for public mode fire alarm systems, have a sound output of up to 129dB(A) and feature 64 alarm tone frequencies that are automatically synchronised whilst each of the 4 stage/channels can be remotely activated.
- The D2xL loudspeakers have a power rating of up to 25W, are approved to UL1480 and to CAN/ULC-541 for fire alarm use, delivering clear and intelligible voice messages. The dual primary 25/70V line transformer can be tapped to multiple wattages and provides duplicated input and output terminals. A DC line monitoring capacitor is supplied as standard.
The D2x series is housed in a corrosion-proof aluminium enclosure that is approved for Class I & II Div 2, Zone 2 & 22, IECEx and ATEX Zone 2 & 22 hazardous location signalling applications. The enclosure also has a high ingress protection rating of IP66/67 and a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to +85°C. The D2x series is easy to install and maintain, with multiple cable entries, pluggable termination and stainless steel mounting bracket included as standard. Ideal for applications such as oil and gas, petrochemical, marine, offshore, mining, industrial and fire protection, where reliable and effective signalling is essential for safety and security.
